In the book, ApSimon discusses 3, 4, and 5 mints.
Guy and Nowakowsky claim that solutions of 38 coins for 6 mints and 74 coins for 7 mints are found by computer. They do not claim that the solutions are the best. But it is easy to misinterpret their statement.
That means the sequence in the database might be wrong.

Does the paper in
http://www.airiti.com/ceps/ec_en/ecjnlarticleView.aspx?jnlcattype=1&jnlptype=4&jnltype=41&jnliid=1222&issueiid=35549&atliid=1752612
(in Chinese so I cannot read it) claim that the two number 38 and 74
in http://oeis.org/A007673 are not the correct ones, and ought to be <=31 and <=63?
In Guy/Nowakoswki there is a statement
that ApSimon shows that 38 and 74 suffice for n=6 and 7, but that is
not necessarily the minimum that we'd like to see in the sequence.
I don't have access to the ApSimon article, so I cannot tell how rigorously
the 38 and 74 have been derived originally.
