A sequence related to a conjecture of Schinzel

Abstract: It would follow from a conjecture of Schinzel that all
positive integers are representable as (p+1)/(q+1)
with q and p prime.  This conjecture is verified to 10<sup>9</sup>, and
various results of the calculation are
given.
