Cino, (Hugo), others,
Somehow I missed your follow-up message saying (in part):

but having seen your earlier message that includes

I began certification of 444^444+5 with Primo (1.2.1 freeware unregistered
version). This 1176-digit number was certified prime by Primo, producing
a 56.8KB certificate file. If anyone would like to see the certificate
file, just ask and I'll e-mail it to you (not to the list of course).
This certification took 32 hours on a much slower machine, 400 mhz, while
two other very intensive calculation programs -- looking for small probable
primes prior to relatively large prime gaps -- were also running.
For what it's worth,
Rick
