Supposing it's "irrelevant", what action, if any, are you advocating?

Many arguably "irrelevant" sequences are tolerated in the OEIS, since the 
fact that someone went to the trouble of entering them implies that they 
were interesting to at least *somebody* (recall that the advertised 
criteria is "all interesting sequences").

Regarding A019280 specifically:
it's obviously been there a while,
it has attracted extensions,
it is correct so far,
it can be extended to accommodate future odd superperfects (interpreting 
"log_2" liberally), and
it will be non-trivial if odd superperfects exist (and useful if they are 
too large for A019279).

So I suggest just adding a comment that it's equal to A000043(n)-1 unless 
odd superperfects exist...
