Witt's formula and montonicity

Dear list,

In the definition of M(n_1,....,n_r) and V(n_1,...,n_r) by
d|n_j I mean that d has to divide n_1,....,n_r.
So d divides gcd(n_1,....,n_r). (Such a divisor d will
   of course automatically divide n=n_1+...+n_r.)
