Subject: 3D arrays
Dear All,
The sci.math discussions about the card-passing puzzle eventually came up with
some useful references (look for the thread called something like "puzzle
relating to artinian group") and I have added two sequences relating to it
into the OEIS (A88803 and A88804).
These sequences actually give the heights of slices through a 3-dimensional
array. E.g. for A88804 gives (one less than) the heights of the 2-dimensional
arrays:
0 2 0
1 0 1
0 0 4 0 0
0 1 2 1 0
0 2 0 2 0
1 0 2 0 1
1 1 0 1 1
0 0 0 6 0 0 0
0 0 1 4 1 0 0
0 0 2 2 2 0 0
0 1 1 2 1 1 0
0 1 2 0 2 1 0
0 2 1 0 1 2 0
1 0 2 0 2 0 1
1 1 0 2 0 1 1
1 1 1 0 1 1 1
etc.
Are there any precedents for 3-dimensional arrays in the OEIS?
Regards,
Rob.
