A001110 again

Some ten minutes ago there was a new posting
in the thread in alt.math.recreational, which
showes the equivalence of Robin Chapmans formula
with one of the OEIS formulas. 

And the poster "philippe 92" gives a proof for
"zaphod"'s recurrence too. OK, so I'll ask him,
if he will add this nice recurrence for A001110,
the sequence of Square Triangular Numbers:

   a(n-1) * a(n+1) = (a(n)-1)^2            (1)

Everybody will agree that this is a truly fine
recurrence, won't they?
