Sequential Squares -- A005842

I just got this in the mail, concerning
sequence A005842.
http://www.research.att.com/cgi-bin/access.cgi/as/njas/sequences/eisA.cgi?Anum=A005842

This has an excess of only 32 squares. I might have
to reconsider squares 1-26 in a 79x79 square, now
that my mental bounds of what is possible have been
exploded.

Dear Ed.

My friend Shigeyoshi found the answer 23 (66*66).
