I think it is fun to read papers and try to make them into new sequences. That I'm getting at least a good overview over the fields is a welcome side effect. Also, there are much more ideas in papers that wait to become sequences than you see from yet-another-your- formula-is-prime or useless-fiddling-with-digits entry. ralf
