Ivars Peterson updates his 1997 article on Ruth-Aaron pairs in  
Saturday's Science News:

I was particularly interested in an algorithm developed by Joe K.  
Crump that can apparently generate large pairs. Unfortunately, the  
algorithm sits at http://www.spacefire.com/numbertheory/ruthaaron.htm  
and the server at spacefire has been unresponsive to my attempts.

Sometimes one can google cached copies of otherwise inaccessible  
websites, but no luck there either. Would anyone here be acquainted  
with the algorithm?
