short URL for sequences is not working

Dear Seqfans,
The local folks are changing all the corporate web pages,
and right now the short URLs for naming sequences
seem to be broken.

I just sent the following message to our sys admins:

a couple of years ago, Danielle Gallo, when she was
webmaster, set up a rewrite rule so that the URL

http://www.research.att.com/cgi-bin/access.cgi/as/njas/sequences/eisA.cgi?Anum=A000108

for example could be abbreviated to 

http://www.research.att.com/projects/OEIS?Anum=A000108

(it was introduced around June 27, 2003)

by now there are thousands of links all over the world to
the latter form

But i just this minute noticed that the rewrite rule is not 
working

I get the error message:

Error 404
Document Not Found

The document you requested, /projects/OEIS, does not exist on this site. 

This is fairly serious!
