I think the reason for Zak's confusion is that we are talking about THIS
sequence (singular), in its context.  The sequence refers to this
sequence, the context refers to the adjacent sequences.

And I agree: why change it?  If some people find it useful, leave it
there even if you or I never use it.  More productive would be to find
sequences that have fruitful cross-references to other sequences,
yet the reference isn't in there.  I know I often don't realize a connection
that should be made because I'm not thinking of the existing sequence
that my new one is in some way related to.
