I sincerely hope not.

Else some symbol for not equal (IsNot), clicking the mouse just
once to do something, or a subset of natural numbers might get
patented.

Same goes for all companies that aggressively pursue patenting
trivialities (redmod and such) or being clinically insane
with their "intellectual property" (SCO, Wolfram).
