I think a specific poster should be able to edit his/her just posted entry.
Occasionally, I hit submit
by accident over preview. Actually, there should be no preview but just
submit which makes
changes and prompts you again with "Do you really want to submit this
sequence?" or something
to that effect. While it may be small, there is a chance that a person will
hit submit when they mean
preview. Say it is one in 200. given the 200 or so g frequent posters,
extra work is created.
Also, The mouse crossing Submit can trigger it. While these occurrences are
small compared to the
irresistable urge to "let it rip", the auto preview Submit will, in my
opinion, reduce these errors by
as much as 50%. I say that because you don't have to remember if you
previously previewed
or not and by being prompted again, like a stop sign does, will put you in a
psychological state - hey
I better look both ways before I proceed. Siggy would be proud of me.:-)
Even with this feature,
the added ability to edit/delete one's own submissions within a specified
period say 24 hours from midnite would also be great. This means if you
submit something at 11:45 pm, you have 15 minutes
to self-edit it. In this way, Neal will only have to review and edit perfect
manuscripts.

Some may say this is a crutch for sloppiness. Maybe. I say it is progress.
