Description of a "musical sequence"

Dear Seqfans, 

Previously, I mentioned the sequence 1, 1, 4, 2, 1, 6, 7, 4, 2, 6, 6, 1,
2, 4, 7, 1, 2, 4, -1,..  (and a few related ones). Its description is
