Zak,

I do not see anything special about this graph.
Yes, it includes some points from the line y=2x+1, and, yes, it is
symmetric the region [0,500]x[0,1000] (i.e., a(n)=k iff
a((k-1)/2)=2n+1). But that does not make it any nicer.
