Would this web site idea, if desirable, be easy to implement?

The tiny numbers are just what makes it a little error-prone for me
sometimes to get the next page. But it's the lack of Previous/Next links
that strikes me as ... well ... less-than-friendly, for a search engine. I
mostly use Google, but I checked AltaVista, Yahoo!, Lycos, About.com,
Windows Live Search, HotBot ... I couldn't find any popular Internet search
engine that _doesn't_ have a set of links like
Previous 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 Next
(with varying numbers of numbered page links between the "Previous" and
"Next" links/buttons).
