keyword:nice keyword:base author:njas
gets 171 hits.

Neil does not automatically leave the "nice" keyword on. Many
sequences have been submitted with it, only to appear in the database
without it.

I'm sure that's due in large part to contributors (or usual suspects
(just kidding))
who mark their own sequences as "nice".

I don't really think "nice" should be an option on the submission
form, but rather
something that the OEIS editors can grant if a sequence is deserving.
This may
prevent a lot of truly nice entries from being marked as such, but it
will also prevent
a lot of ordinary sequences from being marked as "nice" when they
really aren't.

The coming of the OEIS WIKI makes this point irrelevant, as I'm sure
there will eventually
be some sort of user rating system.
