The personal communications were (usually) letters
to me containing the sequence itself, or more terms.

They are perfectly legitimate references, and as such
should remain in the References section.

They should be changed to say"Personal communication to N. J. A. Sloane"

I will do that.

It is a pity they are not dated, but in those days
(pre-1990 or so) I did not date entries.
