I also believe Eric's self-censorship proposal is wrong on principle.
One should not be able to restrict research-related discussion simply by
declaring a contest on some topic.
If a test administrator is concerned about cheating, they have a lot more to
worry about than just shutting down a few known discussion forums. Potential
cheaters have many other places they can go to get help. It is the
responsibility of the test-takers and the test-givers to detect and resolve
any cheating incidents.
