No, it's not silly at all.  If I'm searching for a sequence and look 
for, for example, "factorization", and don't find the sequence I'm 
looking for because it's spelled "factorisation", the OEIS has failed 
for me.  The primary use of the OIES is searching, not reading.

I think we're getting into some rather silly territory if we're going to
police spelling and punctuation to normalize either to American or 
British
standards. I would hope most users of the OEIS have encountered both in
