I don't think so.  The point of generating the Author lines
automatically is that they follow the standard format,
and the standard format is (I believe) not to put a date.
If you want to find the date of a specific sequence
you can use the history page.

The fact that everything has keyword new is a bug.

If you want to see all recent changes you can look at
http://oeis.org/history/approved.

There will be other ways to find new sequences.
I am thinking about setting up an RSS feed too.
