Meanwhile I read the description on b-files and found one can add normal
text files too... I'll make it with four columns as you proposed.

A suitable format would be close to the b-file format, but use text

files with names like axxxxxx.txt: Blank-separated columns of the

form:

1) first column n

2) second column Re(a(n))

3) third column Im(a(n))

4) fourth column a string of the form Re(a(n))+I*Im(a(n)) (like 2+2*I,
1-3*I...)

 

This would allow to scan the 4th column and use it as is with many

CAS's.
