For two reasons,
- since the SOD writeup often contains "added value"
- since this allows to know if a given sequence had already been elected
I think it would be a good idea to put a link to the SOD page
[BTW, why does it have to be a "Template:" ?]
in the relevant sequences.
I did this for today's SOD, even though it has very limited additional
At the same time this raises again the question of whether the SOD
will change from one year to the other. I think this is not needed,
even though the current year may have been the reason to include it.
An example is given by
where the previous version was motivated by election day 2010.
But I think this is not a reason which necessarily obliged you to
re-write a new SOD for that day (in particular given the fact that
that many other days don't yet have a draft).
For the same reason I think that the "intended for ..." should not
necessarily specify the year (unless there is a good reason for this
in a given case).
At least unless we have a sequence for each day and/or enough active
volunteers to be able to maintain that rhythm ...
But then the question of a "permalink" to the given SOD should also be
settled. (Unless everybody is against linking the OEIS entry to the
SOD page on the wiki.)
