Yes, Benoît's interpretation was the one I had in mind--the fat dot that 
has "seen the whole world". The empty meander is no good, since it hasn't 
visited the single cell of the 1-by-1 lattice.

Neil asked if I could supply the drawing for n=4, which I'll do shortly, 
as well as provide a link to the (rather large) drawing for n=6.
