I just (re)discovered

which has a somehow nonempty intersection with the new

It would be nice if the "Community portal" would direct "potential
volunteers" to such pages.

If anyone has good ideas and/or the time to do so, the pages
http://oeis.org/wiki/Main_Page and
http://oeis.org/wiki/OeisWiki:Community_Portal (and the whole wiki &
OEIS as a consequence) would benefit from being reorganized.

To start with, it should be decided what links belong to the one or
the other page, in case 2 distinct pages are to be maintained.

I think it would be nice to have the one and/or other of these
organized in boxes (similar to most Portals on Wikipedia), e.g. a
table with 2 x 2 boxes

grouping links maybe according to the main functions of the wiki:

a) give help and guidance to "Readers" of the OEIS : this is the
purely or mainly mathematical aspect : reference material, index to
contents of the OEIS, ...

b) give help and guidance to contributors of OEIS : what and how to
submit, where you can/should help, ...

c) help / organize the growth of the wiki itself : TO DO lists, suggestions, ...

d) the "others" section...
