because 
a(0) = (0 + 1)*2^(1 - 1) + (1 + 1)*2^(0 - 1) = 1*2^0 + 2*2^(-1) = 1 + 1 = 2 prime; 
a(1) = (1 + 1)*2^(2 - 1) + (2 + 1)*2^(1 - 1) = 2*2^1 + 3*2^0 = 4 + 3 = 7 prime;
