Richard and All:
Although it may also be a corollary to Murphy's law, it was
famously stated by H.L. Mencken before the dawn of Murphy's Law:
"[T]here is always a well-known solution to every human problem - neat,
plausible, and wrong." HENRY LOUIS MENCKEN, PREJUDICES: SECOND SERIES
158 (1923).

Harvey

A note of caution here: these changes to what "evidently" appear to be
very simple recurrences ought only be made by someone who understands
the definitions. There are too many fake correlations of this kind in
mathematics.
So obviously I vote that these like in A063233 are amended with a
"Conjecture" statement unless the authors of these formulas can show
some real support of these claims.
Corollary to Murphy's law: complicated problems have simple, easy to
understand but unfortunately wrong solutions.
