[seqfan] How many times a given number appears in OEIS

I believe there was a discussion of this a couple years ago, but I don't
know what to search for. I would like to avoid duplicating a lot of effort.

I am compiling statistics on how often each value appears as a term in
OEIS, and comparing it to how often the numbers occur in a large set of
sequences defined by fairly simple recurrence formulas.

For example, the number 313 occurs 3329 times in the OEIS (as of a few
weeks ago), and 313 is the most commonly-occurring of the 126 positive
integers in the range [305..430] (which is based on powers of the 4th root
of 2, i.e. all n such that 2^8.25 < n < 2^8.75).

What type of graphical display would be of interest? I've thought of
putting numbers on a log-log scale, where one axis is the number (or its
magnitude if we want to include negatives) and the other is how many times
that number appears in OEIS. I also thought I might do a scatter-plot of
frequency in OEIS vs. the large set of simple formulas. In either case,
outliers would be labeled. Like I said before, I think something like this
has been done before.
