[seqfan] A144678 related to A000217

Hi all,

A144678 <https://oeis.org/A144678>  (Related to enumeration of quantum 
states) and A000217 <https://oeis.org/A000217> (Triangular numbers: a(n) 
= C(n+1,2) = n(n+1)/2 = 0+1+2+...+n.) appear to be related.  In blocks 
of four, the first differences of A144678(0) through A144678(3) = 
A000217(1) = 1,  A144678(4) through A144678(7) = A000217(2) = 3, 
A144678(8) through A144678(11) = A000217(3) = 6, etc.  This holds for 
the first 120,000 terms of A144678.  Is this obvious? Is this worth 
commenting and cross referencing?
