FIRST CONFERENCE ANNOUNCEMENT AND CALL FOR PAPERS
MOVES Conference, August 4-6 in New York City
A research conference on the Mathematics of Various Entertaining Subjects
Join MoMath, the National Museum of Mathematics, for its first-ever conference on recreational mathematics.
Explore
America's only museum of math in a night open exclusively to conference
attendees and their families, then participate in two days of research
talks on the mathematics of games and puzzles. Family and kids
activities will run concurrently with the scientific research program
for guests of conference attendees.
Keynote speaker: Erik Demaine, MIT
Call
for papers: Now accepting submissions for 15-30 minute research talks
on recreational mathematics and the mathematics of games and puzzles, on
a refereed, rolling basis, until April 15. Papers on selected talks will have the opportunity to be published in a post-conference volume with Princeton University Press.
Call for activities: Also accepting submissions for family/kids track concurrent activities, until April 15.
Registration deadline: May 15
