After 1,2,4,4,4,4,8,8, every consecutive eight terms are 16 times the
previous eight terms, so the sequence would begin

1,2,4,4,4,4,8,8,  16,32,64,64,64,64,128,128,
256,512,1024,1024,1024,1024,2048,2048, et cetera.

If I understood the lecture correctly the sequence is "a(n) is the
dimension of the space of spinors in n-dimensional real space."
