Depending on the context and details, a sequence may be viewed as simply
"different" from what was intended, rather than "mistaken".

In those cases they may still be perfectly good submissions for the OEIS:
  1. they may be related to other sequences on their own, most importantly
  2. they may be interesting "approximations" to the intended sequence
  3. they may be helpful guidance to future investigators, as Alonso says

This is why I suggested all four variants of the recent "Euler 493" formula.

One person's bug may be another's serendipity.
