I agree with your opinion. Heck, there are times when I feel silly signing
a Mathematica program, especially if it's something like

RealDigits[SOMEFUNCTION[SOMECONSTANT], 10, 100][[1]]

But where to draw the line between things like that and more involved cases
where we really want proper authorial accountability?

How about we say something like:

"If in doubt and you're not the original contributor of the entry, sign
your contribution."
