I do agree with all you are saying.

There are plans for a "big data" project involving the OEIS, this is
related to the Zentralblatt-Math project that will hopefully start
soon-ish.  A student of mine is just finishing his thesis about parsing
formulas in the OEIS for the Zentralblatt.

Of course it all depends on the funding.
