Thanks to everyone who responded, especially Don Reble.
I've edited both A046790, A046791.  Don's proof of the equivalence of the
five definitions is now included - after some editing - as an attached text
file.
A046790 is indeed a very nice sequence.  Both entries could use [bigger]
b-files
and programs.


By the way, there were links and references to articles by M. Azarian,
which were hard to locate,
and in the end  were not related to the sequences (or to any other
sequences, in fact),
so I did a global edit to remove them.
