While I'm not generally a serious person I agree that "fun sequences" lacking any sort of concrete mathematical qualities should be avoided as much as possible (including stuff like the Erdos-Bacon numbers). 
I can't imagine the level of frustration that researchers and zealots alike would have if OEIS returned results cluttered with non-math related sequences.
