Surely this is easy to understand?  a(i) means the i-th term
of the current sequence.  This is expressing the i-th term,
where i is ..., in terms of the n-th term of A163778.

I did not check the formula.  But its meaning is perfectly clear, if
you understand ordinary mathematical notation.
