I checked the number of different sums which same result for further insights:
1,1,1,2,1,2,1,1,3,1,2,5,2,3,1,2,3,1,…
It was observed that at 
53, 77, 113, 125, ... where a(n) < a(n-1)
the number of different sums which same result has a significant peak.
