First, the sequence itself is fine. The concern is only about the comment.

The comment is correct, but it is in essence about regular polygons and triangular numbers.  It thus, IMHO, artificially introduces a recursion of the geometric concept.

The basic concept is clearly associated with the triangular numbers. And lo and behold, looking at A000217, it is the third comment there: "Number of edges in complete graph of order n+1, K_{n+1}".

In summary, the comment makes sense, but it is not a sensible comment.
