Content Or Predicate Addressable Sequences? (nee Table Borders)

seqfolks,

should we not (eventually) be thinking about
a more general set of predicates on sequences,
or predicates on finite samples of sequences,
incrementally, opportunistically, indexing
finite sequence probes by these predicates,
programming some sort of arachnautomaton
(web spider) to migrate through the db
and accumulate the inverse table?

i avoid the term "metadata" if i can, so let's
talk about epidata, patterns, templates, etc.
if we need more intuitive terminology.
