9*8 = 72, 7*7 = 49, 5*4 = 20,
which might help explain this part of the sequence. I don't see how
to get from 72 to 77 or from 49 to 54 though, nor how to explain
98,77,54

>10,1,11,2,13,4,17,8,25,7
Now 1+0 = 1, 10+1 = 11, 11+2 = 13, 1+3 = 4, 13+4 = 17, 1+7 = 8, 17+8 =
25, 2+5 = 7.

>1,2,2,6,3,12,4,20,5,
This part is an interleaving of 1,2,3,4,5 and 2,6,12,20

>15,20,13,18,11
This is an interleaving of 15,13,11 and 20,18 ... just guessing that
maybe it's two arithmetic sequences of difference -2.

>0,0,4,9,8,18,12,27
This is an interleaving of 0,4,8,12 and 0,9,18,27

my conclusion: this was three or four or five homework problems, not just one.

Any chance that I'm right?
