Idea for OEIS plotting: Quasilog plots

One thing I didn't mention:

If we wish to preserve order and sign in a log plot, we must plot -1 below
the x-axis, 0 on the x-axis, and 1 above the x-axis. Thus our proposed
function must deviate from the target function y = sgn(x)log(|x|) at least
at x = -1, 0 and 1. I felt that y = asinh(x/2)/log(10) gives a nice,
mathematically simple, visually smooth, order and sign preserving mapping
that simulates y = sgn(x)log(|x|) well for all but a few numbers near 0,
where it must deviate anyway.
