I'm cleaning out my basement and one of the items I have to deal with  
is a huge pile of newspaper clippings from the 1980s and 1990s, when I  
was an avid newspaper reader. In order to make sure that there isn't  
something still worthwhile in there, I'm going through it item by item  
- before trashing (most of) it. Perhaps you've seen this, but here is  
a scan of one clipping... A Kevin Fagan "Drabble" comic strip from  
1987 that has relevance for us:
