To answer a couple of David Wilson's concerns:

(1) Volume of submissions swamping the editors

We have 50 editors already.  Will they be able to do
the work that the present editor has done for the past 
10 years singlehandedly?  I hope so!

(2) Degradation of lookup:  lookups should improve

3) Whole database access, e.g, for 
wide-scope quality checks, conversion to printed form, etc.

It won't be possible to copy the whole database. 
But gzipped versions of parts will be available just as they are now.

(4) Older database references already in the literature.

The existing URL links should be automatically forwarded to the OEIS Wiki.
