[seqfan] Describing extended b-files

I would welcome some guidance on how best to describe b-files that are an
extension of a previous b-file.

https://oeis.org/SubmitB.html says

' If you extend an existing b-file by adding more terms, you should replace
the author's name with your own, and after the link, add a comment, in
square brackets, saying what has changed, and when.

which I have taken to mean replacing

  J. Bloggs, Table of n, a(n) for n = 1..200

by

  A. N. Other, Table of n, a(n) for n = 1..2000 [terms 1 to 200 were computed
  by J. Bloggs]

or

  A. N. Other, Table of n, a(n) for n = 1..2000 [extending first 200 terms
  computed by J. Bloggs]

or similar. (No-one in practice seems to put in dates, which isn't too surprising as acquiring the date of a previous b-file seems to involve
rather tedious searching in the history.)

However, I have received some negative feedback from another contributor
about this, who I think feels that the updated text should be something
like

  J. Bloggs and A. N. Other, Table of n, a(n) for n = 1..2000 [terms
1 to 200 were computed by J. Bloggs, remainder by A. N. Other]

and certainly one can find quite a few examples of that style in OEIS.

If the latter form really is to be preferred, I think it would be helpful
for https://oeis.org/SubmitB.html to say so.
