[seqfan] Initial Digits of Ternary Pi

The number of initial digits of ternary pi where the digits 0, 1, and 2 appear exactly the same number of times: 15, 18, ... This is a base-3 version of the base-2 A039624. Only the two terms are known but I believe the sequence might be worthwhile (because it might be infinite). The basis for that belief rests on modeling the digits as a walk on a 2-dimensional Cartesian plane (the binary version is connected to a walk on a 1-dimensional number line, A166006). It is my understanding that 2-dimensional random walks are recurrent. For the actual implementation of the walk, see:
