I think that Rick L. Shepherd  took an only
right solution:  yesterday in #20 he has removed 
the formula: "COMMENTS   a(n+3)=A024495(n)/2"
See history. I am writing about that since I received
questions: "which formula is wrong?".

This formula seems to work to generate the terms of the sequence:

1/6 (2^x+4 (1/2-(I Sqrt[3])/2)^x+4 (1/2+(I Sqrt[3])/2)^x)
