Start with 4.  So take a regular polygon with 4 sides - a square.  Connect
all the vertices and you get the four original sides plus the two diagonals
for 6 total edges.  
Next step take a regular polygon with six sides.  Connect all the vertices
and you get the six original sides plus nine internal connections for a
total of 15. Repeat.  
So the sequence begins 4, 6, 15, ...  What about that does not make sense?
