OEIS on vacation in December

Dear Jonathan, Antii, seqfans.

Of course I meant:
"What MATH could the real seqfans... learn...?"

So, comparing Jonathan's the "all about math
(and English)" postings written in the usually kind
tone,
and some others' mentor-tone "lectures" about what
submitter should do and shouldn't, etc. rubbish (see
example below and some others in this thread) I prefer
JVP and recommend him to others.

I perfectly know what is the submitter's work and what
is the editor's work - I'm author of > 100 sci.
papers, made two Dissn's (in the SU we needed two, not
one as in the West), I worked some tventy years in
astrophysics edition as deputy-chief-editor,
for some thirty years I have written (and read!)
reviews for astro and math papers, and finally - I
assure you Antii that I had read Shakespeare, in
original and in Russian, long before your birth.

So why not to treat each other
WADR (=with all due respect)?

Hopefully it's my last halfpenny in this
"counter-productive" discn,

WADR, Zak

Sure, I apologize for absolutely
not characteristic to me "rubbish",
sorry again

(*************************************)
"My apologies. With "monkey" I was not referring to
any person,
but to this old dictum that "if 10^n monkeys are
provided with the
typewriters
and enough paper, then one day they will produce the
complete works of
Shakespeare".
(With presumably _somebody_ having to read all the
output and
then recognize when the Hamlet is ready...)
In the same way, purpose of OEIS and Neil is not to
filter
those few good ones from all the careless submissions,

but instead it is supposed that submitters themselves
have some kind of _taste_ what is worthwhile and what
is not.
